Hidamari Sketch was first orginate from yon koma (4 panels cartoon) by Aoki Ume. The four main characters are studying in the Art school.

Sae (Ryoko Shintani)

Yuno and Miya are classmate but Hiro and Sae are their Senpai(upperclassmen) but they are all live in Hidamari Apartment. The story concentrate on Yuno point of view and her life as an art studentand her encounterswith her friends.

The anime versionwas produced by SHAFT and thecharacter conversionis nicely done. It got 12 episodes.

This kind of anime is good for killing time, but you can't expect action or romance from it yet it keeps me watching it.

The character are well designed and quite really cute. The voice performing of each actress is nicely done, eventhough Kana Asumi barely cast in anime but she did a great job. The rest of crew are veteran in Seiyuu field especially Ryoko Shintani.
I won't say that Hidamari Sketch is really entertainting but the story caught theaudience with Yuno's life and her problem which really funny when with her friends are trying to help deal with it.
Opening Theme "Sketch Switch" perform by four main Seiyuu is quite nice and easy to listen.
Ending Theme "Mebae Drive" perform by Marble is really and relaxing song.
